Archives Can I bring my baby to my group class or private session?

No you cannot. We do not recommend bringing your baby to the studio as we do not provide child care services. Please organise a babysitter to look after your baby off the premises. Alternatively you can attend our Pilates Mums & Bubs (child up to crawling age and must be in a capsule) classes.

Are there any special requirements post natal?

Please wait until you have received the all clear from your 6 week check-up. Complete the Post Natal Exercise Questionnaire and bring it to your first class. It is also strongly recommended that whenever you start back at KX Pilates after a break; ensure you begin again in a Beginner class.

How long before I can attend KX Pilates classes after birth?

We ask that you wait until after you receive the all clear from your 6 week GP/Obstetrician check up to make sure that everything is healing well and there are no diastasis recti (abdominal separation) issues.

Are there any special requirements during pregnancy?

You can only attend group pilates classes up until you’re 15 weeks along. Before booking your first group class, please contact your local studio for a list of qualified pre and post-natal Trainers. You must inform your Trainer what week you are up to at the beginning of each class, as modifications of certain exercises will be required. You must also have your Obstetrician complete the Pregnancy Authorisation to Exercise Form and return it to us upon arrival at your first class.

I’m pregnant – can I still attend KX Pilates Group Classes?

It depends how far along you are. If you are new to KX Pilates, we ask that you not start our classes until after your pregnancy. For current clients, you can attend group classes but only until you’re 15 weeks along. After this, due to our dynamic style of training, you can no longer attend group classes. We do however recommend you either have a private session or attend our Pre/Post natal or Mums & Bubs classes.
