After a drawn out process of leaving (some have accused me of milking it!), it is with some sadness that I will finish my last shift at KX Pilates this week. I’ve spent the last 2 and a half years taking classes at our Malvern and Port Melbourne studios along with being involved in the 12 Week Challenge. Without KX, my free time will now be spent at my Exercise Physiology clinic in Healesville applying what I’ve learnt from my time at one of Melbourne best Pilate’s studios.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the amazing clients I have taught over my time here. I feel like there are so many people that I’ve not yet said goodbye so this is my chance. It has been a pleasure to been involved in your lives. I thank you for your dedication and your endless hard work. It really has been a pleasure. I’d also like to thank Aaron for the opportunity he’s given me and Amie for showing me the ropes so long ago. Lastly, it’s been a pleasure to work alongside all the amazing KX trainers and the always bubbly Eliza.
When I started out with KX we still had just one studio and only a small handful of staff. It’s amazing to think what Aaron and the KX team have been able to accomplish in such a short period of time time. It’s been an honour to be involved with a brand that continues to push the boundaries within the fitness industry. KX truly offers something different to the rest of the industry with our blend of High Performance Pilates. But interestingly it’s not the workout that makes KX what it is. I believe that it comes from the people; staff who love what they do and clients who are motivated to succeed. When you come in each and every week and push out those last few reps to failure you’re creating so much more than just a strong body. You’re helping to build a culture of hard work, motivation and drive that has shaped the KX brand into what it is today.
I’m leaving KX so happy with the time I’ve spent and the things that I’ve accomplished. It’s been inspiring to see the business grow and I can only imagine where the KX brand will be in just a few more years. Wherever that is I hope you stay a part of it, devoting your time, your sweat and your tears. And when you walk out at the end of your class, make sure you do so with pride knowing that you’re helping build something bigger than yourself. Knowing your hard work is the foundation of a brand that empowers thousands.
So thank you. If you’re interested in following what I’m doing you can keep up to date with my blog at my clinics Facebook page, www.facebook.com/betterexercise.
