I recently moved down the surf coast and was very excited to see that despite the colder weather there is a constant stream of riders, joggers and dog walkers that frequent the path between Torquay and Bells Beach.

The golf course is constantly packed with groups of golfers and that’s just on the land, the ocean is filled to the brim with surfers, kite boarders wave ski paddlers and many other types of water craft. It will be interesting to see how far into the year this lasts.

Having lived in Melbourne for most of my life it is no surprise to see people starting to rug up and retire from outdoor activities for the year until the weather gets a little warmer. By June the footy season is in full swing and its time to move indoors until September comes around. This includes outdoor exercise for many people.

Coincidently gyms and Pilates studios start filling up as people take their exercise routine indoors. Its so nice to see these places a hive of activity at 6am when its still dark and cold.

Over the last few weeks I have been involved in the latest KX Pilates Academy training the new instructors for the new Geelong KX Pilates Studio in Pakington St, Geelong West. It is a fantastic opportunity for people in the area to experience the KX style and have somewhere to exercise in the colder months of the year.

Having watched the studio being set up from the start it is very exciting!

See you all down at the studio!
