International Pilates Day

To celebrate International Pilates Day, we are running FREE Online Live Dynamic Mat Classes on Saturday 2 May 2020.

 

Expect high-energy classes that will get you moving and your heart pumping. Each class will be hosted by Owners and/or Trainers from across Australia. Try out a Trainer from a different state or say hi to a familiar face.

AARON SMITH

FOUNDER & MASTER TRAINER

From an early age, Aaron has had a passion for helping people succeed, and his passion for fitness started in his late teens when it transformed his life. The combination of both is why his career in fitness has spanned over 18 years and 3 continents.

With a background in Exercise Physiology, Personal Training and Dynamic Pilates, Aaron founded KX Pilates in 2010 and has never looked back. His training style is fun and cheeky yet tough, with his philosophy being “What doesn’t challenge you won’t change you.” Get ready to Define Yourself.

Elyse Dixon

After years of working in LA as a stylist assistant, Elyse made the move to Australia looking for a change of lifestyle and career. She was looking for something that brought more meaning & joy to others. That’s when she discovered Pilates. After years of being a client, she took the plunge to become a certified Pilates instructor. Elyse loves that way Pilates made her feel and how it allowed her to move her body in beautiful & amazing ways.

Elyse is one qualified Trainer! Along with her comprehensive Pilates certification, she is a Master Trainer & QC for KX NSW.  Elyse’s training style is a mix of dynamic strength building components with lots of slow stability work to make everything shake! She loves finding ways to challenge clients to do things they didn’t know their body was capable of.

Georgia Renwick

Georgia’s classes PUMP. Clients, owners and trainers go out of their way to make it to her classes because they are HECTIC in the best kind of way. She is dedicated to the spice, making sure the count down from 10 is so slow that every muscle burns like a Habanero chilli. Not only that, her genuine and bright energy transforms her home studio, KX Semaphore, into a buzzing, welcoming space. Known by her nickname, “DJ G”, she spends more time curating playlists for her classes than studying her Masters degree in Speech Pathology. Lucky she is a clever cookie, having already completed a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, where her love for Pilates began.

Georgia believes that no occupation defines who you are, and that the true power is how you make people feel. Passionate about bringing good vibes, Georgia was presented with State and National Trainer of the year in 2019.

Dani Klye

TRAINER

Dani has been an avid Pilates lover for over 12 years – a love affair that began while she was living on the Gold Coast. It was here that Dani discovered a fitness-focused style of Mat Pilates which naturally lead to her completing her Cert 3&4 in fitness and Teacher Training in Mat Pilates, followed by Barre and Yoga certifications.

After moving on to live in Melbourne, Dani discovered reformer Pilates and was instantly hooked as it combines many mat Pilates principles with the added challenge of spring resistance. When Dani returned to her hometown of Hobart in 2018 she discovered KX Pilates and loved the dynamic workouts that challenge her not only physically but mentally.

Dani’s training style is fluid and controlled yet challenging. It will leave you feeling strong and capable in body, whilst centred and focused in mind.

Sasha Kauffman

STATE TRAINER MANAGER & MASTER TRAINER

Sasha discovered her love for Pilates in high school; a love that led to healing her relationship with her body and mind. She wants everyone to be able to experience the peace of appreciating their body for its capabilities and the power that comes with it.

With a strong foundation in traditional Pilates training, a love for dynamic Pilates and a degree in architecture, Sasha’s classes are creatively programmed, challenging, playful and will leave you feeling energised, proud and inspired. She believes that a strong body and a strong mind give you the confidence to excel in all aspects of your life, outside the studio.

Kylie Falconer

OWNER & MASTER TRAINER

FROM WA

Dynamic Pilates has been the culmination of life work. After years of study in psychology and neuroscience at university, Kylie was certain that the best way to help others would be through a practical application. She discovered KX whilst completing her Honours in Health Science and teaching yoga. Kylie fell in love with KX as a way to combine her passion for mental and physical wellbeing. Beginning as a Melbourne KX trainer in 2016, she was proud to bring the dynamic movement to her hometown of Perth in 2018.

Along with comprehensive Pilates and Yoga certifications, Cert 3 in fitness and a degree in Science, Kylie’s approach to training is continuously evolving movements creating focus and control within the body. You can expect a combination of vinyasa style sequencing with High Intensity and a Pilates core focus.

A device (computer, tablet or phone) connected to the internet. For the best experience, we recommend using a computer.

SETTING UP YOUR workout space

Place your device in a location where you can clearly see the Trainer

 We recommend placing your computer on the ground in front of your mat, with your mat horizontal

When you lie down on your mat stand up, make sure your full body is in frame

Ensure your device is flipped so that the screen is horizontal

Ensure you have the volume up to full on your device so it is easy to hear the Trainer and music
